An x-ray image of a fossil rock in Fossil Fighters: Champions

The x-ray is a cleaning tool that allows the player to see the contents of a fossil rock. When used, it briefly displays an image of the fossils, jewels, or items within the rock. It is effective on every kind of rock except dark fossil rocks, which are impervious to it. It can be used as often as the player chooses and at any time during the cleaning process, including before the cleaning timer begins to count down. The x-ray is given to the player alongside a standard hammer and drill early in the main storyline of every Fossil Fighters game. Unlike other types of cleaning tools, there is only one x-ray, and it has no upgrades.
